Who Is He…

Hello, I am Noe, a 20 something year old “artist” that makes all the ceramic gars you see on this website and or maybe the Instagram too. I started making ceramic gar in my second year of high school pottery. To the right (Or somewhere if you’re on mobile) is my first gar, I’m real proud of him and he’s hanging right above me as I type this all out. I went on to make some more gar like the one below but once I graduated I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do. 6 Months after graduating I felt as if I wasn’t doing anything or going anywhere unfortunately, but then I committed myself to try to get as into ceramics as humanely possible as I did miss it. I bought clay, I bought glazes and thankfully I had access to a kiln as I relatively consistently work for the NC Museum of Art’s AIM program at the local middle school, which had a kiln. With all that I had the ability to make work and I landed at selling at the Owl and Rabbit Gallery in Downtown Mebane (Though they were in Downtown Burlington at the time). I also made My Instagram around that time and started posting there.

I’ve had many wonderful people help me to get to this point, Hillary and the folks at the Owl and Rabbit, the teachers who I work with at the AIM program, Anna Thorp and her Art Management wisdom (Find her at Studio Thorp), My beautiful lovely amazing wife who makes all the really pretty and amazing digital art that you see scattered around (@Yisstarii on Instagram), and my friends and family who have been very supportive of my ambitions as unrealistic as they can be. And you, as corny as it is, you are part of this too… thank you for your time and support by just making it this far.
